Hello there!
Im Alexi! I have been a creative for as long as I can remember, making art has always been a constant throughout my life, and I would go as far as to say painting Is my therapy. The subjects I gravitate towards are animals, such as pets, or livestock, and I'm really Into capturing the movement of rodeo sports, and western scenes! I have been selling custom pet portraits for several years now, and I am working towards my goals of putting together a portfolio, and selling original artwork! My Art Journey
Although I have been interested in art my whole life I never thought that painting could be a possible career path, I also had other interests like horses and animals in general. It wasn't until high school that I grew a big interest and focus on art but at the same time, I had other things distracting me like work and my animals. Painting became a hobby I only did in my free time until I grew a yearning to create and realized my skills were lacking because of how little practice I had been doing over the years.
How I ended up at Milan Art Institute
I had seen Milan Art Institute videos pop up online and I quickly enjoyed their content but at first, tried to convince myself that I didn't need it and In fact I joined community college for a short time to take art classes but I absolutely dreaded it, completely bored out of my mind I chose to drop out and that would eventually lead me to choose the Mastery program, I saved money all summer to afford to join the program. I became very passionate about the program as I HATED traditional schooling, and still do, but this was different, I got to learn so much information on my terms and get the education that I was seeking specifically for me, the Mastery Program is designed to take you through your OWN journey and that's what I loved about it most, I don't enjoy being bossed around Haha!
How you can join the Mastery Program
I am actually not finished with the mastery program yet, but I can already say it is one of my favorite things I have done for myself, believing in myself was the only thing I needed to be able to sign up and I couldn't imagine what I might be doing if I hadn't! So if you are a creative, let me tell you that is all you need, just believing in yourself is the first step. I would encourage anyone who feels a pull toward a creative career to try a workshop at the mastery program or at least watch their content and see what its all about, and if you feel like this could be a part of your path, sign up and learn along with me! I need some art friends Haha!
